Our Trigger Shoe is CNC'ed here in the Northwest from virgin 6061 billet stock then anodized for a lasting finish. Attaches easily to the factory CZ trigger with the two supplied Allen set screws. Great for bench rest or to help with pest control.
- INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS-Refer to pictures for figure references and visual aids:
- PLEASE NOTE: A competent, qualified gunsmith should ALWAYS perform all work or modifications to any firearm. All photos show the adjustable sear installed but replacing the factory sear is the same.
- * Follow ALL NRA Safety Rules
- The following instructions are for all CZ 452 models except the Style.
- 1.Remove the bolt from action. Remove the action from the stock. Place the action inside the supplied large plastic bag(not shown). This will help catch flying detent balls and springs.
- 2.Drift trigger pivot pin out with a hammer and punch.(fig. 1)
- 3.Drift sear pivot pin out with a hammer and punch(fig. 1a). The detent ball and spring will most likely fly out when the punch is pulled out of the action.(Extra ball included in case this one gets away from you)
- 4.Place a small amount of LocTite on the supplied set screw(Fig. 2) and install it in the adjustable sear far enough so it just starts to protrude through the hole toward the trigger shelf.
- 5.Put the spring and ball from the original sear into the new sear, use a small amount of grease to hold the detent ball on the spring(Fig. 2a).
- 6.Check the trigger pin and make sure it is straight(Fig. 3), if it is damaged or bent replace it with the supplied roll pin. Orient the sear/trigger assembly into the receiver, use a small screw driver to help guide the detent ball/spring(Fig. 4) and place a punch in the sear pivot point, be sure the detent ball stays in the sear(fig.4a).
- 7.Push the original *pin into sear pivot point(fig.4a), which will push out the punch. Insure that the hole in the sear and the holes in the receiver are aligned then drift original sear pin back into the receiver. Remove the action from the plastic bag.
- 8.Put the washer and trigger **spring back on trigger guide rod. Push trigger guide rod back into the receiver hole and drift pivot pin back in place making sure you have the trigger aligned as the pin passes through the action. (Drift the pin most of the way through until it starts to touch the trigger ear on the opposite side. Move the trigger to allow the pin to line up with the hole and finish drifting the pin in.)
- 9.Adjust the trigger setscrew(Fig. 5) until it just touches the trigger; turn about 1/8 turn more. This will be VERY close to the final adjustment.
- 10.Occasionally the wood screw of the CZ American trigger guard interferes with the sear adjusting screw boss and you may need to grind the tip off of the screw flush with the stock.
- * Do to the wide variance in pin tolerances from the factory it may be necessary to lightly sand the pin where the sear pivots for it to fit without binding.
- **If you want to lighten the trigger remove one coil with cutters or replace the spring with one from a kit of your choice.
