How to Order a Suppressor

If you are ordering a suppressor, follow these steps.

Failure to follow this guide may result in order delays. Suppressors can only be shipped to licensed dealers with a valid SOT in your state of residence.

State Legality:
The following states do not allow ownership of suppressors: California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.
All orders shipping to these states will be cancelled.

Age Requirements:
Federal law requires that you be 21+ to purchase a suppressor. State laws vary! Orders returned or cancelled because the customer does not meet age requirements will be assessed a 15% restocking fee.

You MUST contact your dealer PRIOR to purchasing to verify their transfer fees, NFA policies, and Form 4 process.

Step 1 — Confirm an SOT dealer on file

Suppressor / NFA transfers require a dealer with SOT on file with JoeBob. At checkout, the FFL panel runs in NFA mode and only lists SOT-on-file dealers.

Prefer to skip ahead? Add the suppressor to your cart and choose your SOT dealer in the checkout FFL panel (NFA mode).

Step 2 — Choose your SOT dealer at checkout

  1. Add your suppressor to the cart and go to checkout.
  2. In the FFL dealer panel (NFA / SOT-on-file only), search and select your dealer. Selecting them autofills the shipping company and address fields.
  3. Keep YOUR first and last name in the shipping name fields (many dealers want the customer’s name on the box).
  4. Do NOT check “billing same as shipping.” Enter YOUR credit card billing address separately, pick a shipping method, then pay on our secure checkout.

That’s it when your SOT dealer is already on file — no extra license upload needed.

Step 3 — New dealers only (not on our SOT list)

If your dealer was not listed as SOT on file and you couldn’t select them, have them send us their FFL and SOT ASAP and reference your order # and/or name:

Optional post-checkout upload prompts (when shown) are only for these new dealers — skip them if you already selected an on-file SOT dealer at checkout.

Once your order ships, you’ll get email tracking updates. If there’s a problem with the order or the license/SOT paperwork, we’ll contact you so it can ship ASAP.

When the suppressor arrives at your dealer, you’ll complete the Form 4 there. Please contact your local dealer with any questions about the legalities of owning a suppressor BEFORE you order — laws vary by state.
